Introduction about Bamboo Products.
In the 1
st day of our visit to RSETI (Training Centre for Agarbatti
Sticks And Bamboo Products) our respected trainer Prakash D’Souza sir
introduced him-self, and he started to explain us about Bamboo products
and marketing places. And he thought us how Bamboo is important in our
daily life. From ‘Cradle to Grave’. Now a days Bamboo products are used
more in number because Bamboos are fast growing and low cost material
that is Strong, Durable, Eco-friendly and Attractive.
It consists of 4 methods used traditionally to treat Bamboo are:
1. Water-leaching.
2. Chemical Treatment [Borax & Boric acid (10 liter of water + 9 gram
Boric acid)].
3. Smoking & Heating.
4. Salt water / Sea water immersion.
5. Fermentation.
The best treatment is Borax & Boric acid is the most popular bamboo
preservative method around the world because it is effective & most
environmentally friendly than other wood preservation.
Uses
• Bamboo can be used for almost all parts of houses, including Posts, Roofs, Walls, Floors, Beams and Fences.
• People also use bamboo to produce Mats, Baskets, Tools, Handles, Hats, Traditional toys, Musical instruments
and Furniture.
• In the food sector Bamboo shoots are becoming more popular.
Technical details:-
The unit is aimed to produce different bamboo articles and handicrafts like decorative items by using
bamboo and its materials. With regard to manufacturing process, these materials are cut to the required size and length.
Design and carvings are made and these parts are then joined together with the help of glue and nails etc. as deemed fit
for the end products. There products are subsequently polished by Varnish.
