Vermicomposting is a natural process whereby earthworms convert waste material with rigid structures into compost.
1.Size of tank depends on raw materials.
2.Add cowdung, soil on heap for quick decomposition.
3.Add earthworms and sprinkle water on it.
4.Have a frequent check to avoid the compost from overheating.
5.Maintain proper moisture and temperature.
Result:
After 24 days 4000-5000 new worms are introduced and entire raw materials turned into vermi compost.
