Every day technologies are improving and getting better. In this modern time, farmers are equipped with modern agriculture technology that is trouble free, latest and easy to use. Their works load, hard work has been reduced to some extent after the inventions of these technology. Digitisation is playing  big role in transforming the traditional farming sector.<br \/>\nTechnologies such as micro irrigation, biotechnology, remote sensing, global positioning system, weather mapping, drones, digitised mapping are now being used extensively in this sector. Farmers are facing challenges of high cost of agriculture input, transportation, shortage of labour, inadequate market access, and many other problems in which technologies are proved boon to them. This sector has adapted not only in farm mechanization but also enlarged the technologies which can bring the change in.<\/p>\n<p>Advanced technologies in agriculture<br \/>\nDrone: flying high Agricultural drones with appropriate sensors can be a good tool for crop<br \/>\nmanagement, increasing yield, managing irrigation water, applying pesticides and chemicals judiciously. Have revolutionized offering farmers major cost savings, enhanced efficiency, and more profitability.<\/p>\n<p>Sensor technology<br \/>\nSensors are now connected to the internet allowing the farmers to monitor and access their crop or either via mobile networks or radio networks. Farmers need to take several decision on one individual crop, detailed information on nutrient availability, uptake, soil acidity, etc.so the farmers can used this technology for soil type determination,<br \/>\nimproving the crop yield.<br \/>\nIn next few years the use of sensor system will be increased more precise seedling, weed management techniques in crop will be there. Several sensor are used such as Optical sensor has been developed to determine, clay, organic matter etc. mechanical sensor, dielectric soil moisture sensor are also used.<\/p>\n<p>Precision agriculture technologies<br \/>\nThis technology mainly works on the concept of observing, measuring, responding. It improves the agricultural yield and reduce the environmental risk. It requires a large amount of data such as soil sampling, soil condition, pesticides effect, irrigation facilities etc. every<br \/>\nnew technology is being used in this farming.<\/p>\n<p>Satellite derived data<br \/>\nConducting real time field monitoring, with a view to detect the variety of yield. This sensor gives imagery in various spectrum such as the normalized difference vegetation index. It allows the detection of vegetation content and overall health of the plant. Another is canopy<br \/>\nchlorophyll content index that\u2019s helps in the nutrient index then the normalized index helping the nitrogen content etc. rainfall assessment from satellite help the farmers to plan the timing and amount of irrigation they will need for their crop.<\/p>\n<p>Why the transformation is important?<br \/>\nThere are several transformation that are proven to be backbone of agriculture. Here are some of the advantages.<br \/>\n\u2022 Increased productivity<br \/>\n\u2022 Decrease in duration of time<br \/>\n\u2022 Reduce in losses due to crop stress<br \/>\n\u2022 Now the weather are predictable<br \/>\n\u2022 Modern machines can control the efforts of farmer<\/p>\n<p>Conclusion<br \/>\nAgriculture is driven by continuous improvement in technology and digital tools as well as in collaboration with the farmers.
