HOW AEROPONICS WORKS
\nLight: A light source enables the plants to photosynthesize and store energy.
\nSupport structure: A medium, such as cloth\/plate, separates the plants from their roots and gives them support to grow.
\nWater and nutrients: A nutrient-heavy mist in the solution chamber is absorbed by the plants root systems.<\/p>\n
GROWING TECHIQUES
\nA. Root mist technique
\n\uf0d8\tRoots of the plants will be suspended in air inside the panel.
\n\uf0d8\tNutrient solution is given through spray as a fine mist and roots should be always kept wet.
\n\uf0d8\tThe box will be covered and sealed from all sides to promote root growth and block the light penetration.
\n\uf0d8\tProperly maintain and set the misting cycle: 2-3 minutes intermittent misting and then stopping and again misting.
\n\uf0d8\tPlant growth is much faster.
\n\uf0d8\tTemp should be maintained at 21-23 degree C and keep proper check.
\n\uf0d8\tIf temperature rises, immediately start the misting.
\n\uf0d8\t90-95 % water saving is done.
\n\uf0d8\tSuitable for all vegetables, leafy vegetables, root crops (beet, onion, garlic, potatoes).
\n\uf0d8\tNot suitable for growing tall growing plants.

B. Fog feeding technique
\n\uf0d8\tNutrient solution is distributed to the plant roots at a range of 30-80 microns.
\n\uf0d8\tMisting is done through proper atomization.
\n\uf0d8\tHigh pressure pump is required for fogging.
\n\uf0d8\tPressure for feeding \/root misting: 80 -100 psi ranges.
\n\uf0d8\tThis system increases bioavailability of nutrients and requires nutrient in least quantities
\n\uf0d8\tRoots should not be too much wet nor too dry and maintain proper moisture
\n\uf0d8\tSet the misting cycle properly (2-3 minutes intermittent misting and then stopping for 2 sec and again misting.
